Kurvy (aka Kellie) started bellydancing in 1999 and is currently performing as a solo bellydance artist fusing fire, traditional oriental and tribal styled bellydance.
Her presence is strong and earthy, her costumes dazzling to decadent. Her passion for bellydance comes from the dynamic constantly evolving artform, the music, the costumes and that anyone of any age can bellydance for fun, fitness and/or creative expression. Her personal life philosophy is Move With Softness influenced by her practice of Ashtanga Yoga. She has attended regular classes with Jrisi Jusakos (Oriental), Hilary Cinis (Tribal) and Yolla Kordahi (Contemporary) and workshops with Devi Mamak, Hossam Ramzy, Rachel Brice, Blue Damsel, Kaeshi Chai, Jill Parker, Heather Stants, Melusina and The Fat Chance Bellydance Company (General Skills Certificate in American Tribal Style).
Kellie also loves to teach bellydance and the joy it brings to her students, she currently teaches in the inner west of Sydney, Australia. Her classes are friendly and energetic and offer a variety of oriental and tribal technique and choreography. Kellie performs at various private functions, restaurants and nightclubs around Sydney.
